Hello,
2 days ago I tried to update to the new version from EasyBlog dashboard. After 5 times, where I could not activate the connection to your updateserver, it did not react, I choosed to download the new version an installed it over the Joomla-extensions I never have done this before, it was a privat test. This connection problem was only with the EasyBlog not with other extension we have installed..
Yeah the effect is now, I can not see the blogs extension in the admin-list. I can not alter details in the administration. We had no other new installations before. After we installed new CimmunityBuilder an see the CB-plugin in the list. Could you serve with a tip how to solve?
Hello Mr. Wong,
Allow to say: why "sorry" ? it was a very quick and perfect service. Thank you very much for for this assistance - your team counts to the best in Joomla-World, we have many plattforms I can compare with others.

Hello Peter Lex,

I have tried install the Easyblog from your backend extension manager, but i getting this :

DB function failed with error number 2006 <br /><span style="color: red;">MySQL server has gone away SQL=INSERT INTO `h9ham_extensions`(`name`, `type`, `element`, `folder`, `client_id`, `enabled`, `access`, `protected`, `params`, `ordering` ) VALUES('User - EasyBlog Users', 'plugin', 'easyblogusers', 'user', '0', '1', '1', '0', '', '0' )</span>

it seems like when Joomla attempt to install EasyBlog user plugin, the connection to your MySQL server disconnected.

What you can try is to increase the timeout period of your mysql connection higher. To do this, edit the below value from your my.cnf file and php.ini file :

php.ini
=======================================
max_execution_time = 120
max_input_time = 120

my.cnf
=======================================
wait_timeout = 120
connect_timeout = 120

Increase to value to 120 or higher. If you are unsure how to change these setitng, you might need to get back to your webhosting provider.

Hello Peter Lex,

Sure You're welcome, glad to heard your issues resolved.

If you don't mind and if it doesn't take too much of your time, is it possible for you to post up a review or give us some rating for EasyBlog at Joomla! Extensions Directory http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/authoring-a-content/blog/12630 . This will really help motivate the team and will allow us to further improve our service as we move along.
