I'm on J2.5.14 and version 3.8.14477 of EasyBlog. I've set article setting to public and general settings 'Require login to read full blog post ' to 'no' and still users are asked to log in. I am using Community Builder 1.9 as my default registration but it shoildn't be that.
Any ideas?
Hello Bob,

Can you provide us your backend and FTP access so we can have a better look on your issue here? Please advise.

Thank goodness I'm just a dummy.

Hello Bob,

I had figured out the settings that you need to set in your back end, please go to your categories and set it to public
backend > easyblog > category > your categories > privacy

Thanks:)

So, as I see, the primary privacy setting is in Categories. So, In this case, you had reset the 'Industry Issues' to public and I thank you.
Does that also mean that the other locations of privacy selections are overidden by the category setting?
EasyBlog must have a tutorial giving more details of this topic which I can't find.
Can you direct me?
I think, in my case, it would be better if the privacy setting option was attached only to the individual article, not the system or a category,
But if that's not possible, I'll work around it.
EasyBlog is geat and I don't want to break it.
Thank you again.

Hello Bob,

So sorry for the delay in getting back to you. There is actually a privacy setting for individual post. The way it works is if the post is that the restriction overrides everything. So if your category is public but your post is private then the post will remain private. However if the category is private but the post is set to public, the post will remain private. Hope this clears things up

Thanks!
