I have a problem with sending email, even if I set up a Cron Jobs, are not sent. I plugged in the string of Cron Jobs this because my hosting told me that only works with this: / path / to / lynx "http://cromaplus.net/index.php?option=com_easysocial&cron=true";> / dev / null 2> & 1
There is some mistake or how can I solve this problem?
Hello marco,

Sorry for late reply to this,
Can you try using this cron command and see how it goes?
lynx -source "http://http://cromaplus.net/index.php?option=com_easysocial&cron=true" > /dev/null 2>&1

If the cronjob still not working properly, can you provide us with your Joomla backend, Cpanel access so we can help you check on this? Please advise.

Hello marco,

Sorry for late reply to this,
I have tried using my suggested that cron command
lynx -source "http://cromaplus.net/index.php?option=com_easysocial&cron=true" > /dev/null 2>&1

Then i received this server respond.
Lynx file "/etc/lynx.lss" is not available.

Can you consult with your Webhosting again regarding this which part should be correct.

the response of my hosting, this was
You need to talk to a developer or someone familiar with your site setup to specify exactly what script you should be using with your cron job. We don't have anyone in our department who can assist with this coding issue.
what should I do to run the cron?

Hello Marco,

Our cronjob requires that you crawl a specific url which will then invoke the script to run those email deliveries. What my colleague posted earlier was an error that was thrown by the server when lynx was executed,

Lynx file "/etc/lynx.lss" is not available.

You need to paste this error to them and ask them why is lynx isn't working. By the way, may I know which hosting provider is this?

Hello Marco,

You can't check actually unless if you have SSH access. We would advise you to consult with your hosting provider as they know themselves how they set up their servers.

The important line there is the Missing a User Agent Header. This is causing the request to be blocked because it is insecure.

What you are trying to access, its a coding issue. They need to add user-agent headers to the code.

I am not really sure what do you mean here or what did they reply. You can try this if they are claiming that it's an issue with the user agent

/usr/bin/wget --user-agent="Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 5.2; rv:2.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/4.0.1" -O /dev/null "http://yoursite.com/index.php?option=com_easysocial&cron=true"

If they are still reluctant to help, please just get the SSH access and I will set this up for you. These kind of hosting companies should go out of business pretty soon

They argue that there is user agent for this I was stuck, I'm looking for another hosting are with them for a few months but I have already repented, did not help me do anything. I had a problem with the database that was canceled and although I paid for the daily backup I have restored the database saying that you can not, that's another story. As soon as I find a hosting more serious going on. Now I try to access ssh and I will send to you

Hello Marco,

Your hosting has probably disabled "wget" I have replied you on your email and waiting for the cpanel / ssh access so that I can login to the server to check on this. Seriously, this is a very bad hosting provider

Someone who does not give me the limitations seen that before this I had a hosting service that I paid enough but with many limitations including I could not edit the php.ini. Although now I do not understand why if I put a php.ini default web site is not accessible error http error

http://cloudaccess.net/
