My site - https://www.joomla-dev.com allows comments but when I am on the site and start to enter a comment, I see the fields but no comment box. What could be wrong?

I'm sorry but we only provide support for paid user. However, My best guess is your template that causing the issue. To debug this, you can try to change to Joomla default template such as Protostar and check if the issue still there. If it is fixed, you might want to consult the template developer about this.
