Hello.

I'm having a weird bug (or something that I dont know) when I try to save a specific page of EasySocial component, in the joomla administration. I always got a redirection to the homepage, in the frontend, and I dont get my changes saved. But, that is the only page where I can confirm that issue so far.

The path for that screen is: Components > Easy Social > Settings > Users
(that page in the screenshot attached)

Can you help me with that? Im leaving the credentials in the private section, tell me if you need more info.

It seems that i hit this http://take.ms/w3AZ3 when trying to save those settings on your site. Can you provide us with valid access for your FTP as currently it is not possible for us to access them currently.

Please advice.

Hello Abdul.

Thank you very much for checking that so fast.

The Site Details page is updated now with the FTP to access the public_html files. I have tested that credentials right now (using FileZilla here) and seems to be working now.

Please tell me if you are still not able to access the main folder or just need something more.

Hi there,

Sorry for the delay of this reply.

I have checked on your site and it seems that your server will not save this particular page and it will kept redirected us to frontpage. I have remove whole users sections and then i can saved them properly.

I suspected that this is due to some security(mod_security) on your server end where it some of the wording or response on that particular page is blocked and will not get sent to your server.

Maybe you can consult with them regarding this and see how it goes.

Hi There,

Thanks for your reply but honestly I did not got what Im supposed to do exactly. I have checked mode_security and it is off but I dont know if it was what you meant.

If there is something I have to ask for server administrator could you clarify a little more what exactly I have to ask them?

Edit:
Just one more thing. Maybe it is of some help those packages and configs actually in our server for PHP.

I am sorry that my colleague didn't explain much regarding this.

After i checked further on this, it seems like if the POST data contain this profile keyword, it will get redirected from your server.

Perhaps you can try consult with your webhosting provider is there any place restricted this profile keyword from your server?

Such as those word filtering tool or some other security tool might be treat this keyword as spam from your server.

By the way, keep us update then after your webhosting provider response you, because i also wondering what security tool filtering this.

How are you doing? Thanks for the reply.

Working normally now! I made contact with our webhosting provider as you said, explaining all situation and tests performed. You were right about the filtering tool! I'm not the proper person to explain technically what happened, but its an apache blacklist thing (something like that). The solution was move theses terms to the whitelist. So now the page is saving correctly.
