This works sometimes sometimes not,

WHen I am trying to upload images I drag the image into the box and the image opens in a new window/tab. It does not upload.

five minutes later it works, then stops , starts, I can not work out what doing this.

In all cases that follow I have the drag image here window open......

The button at top of page where is says add media has a text box that drops down and tells you what files are allowed. if I hover over this button and i see the allowed files everything is OK, but if I hover this button and see nothing thats when I cant drag images. its like a script blocking the drag but its not happening all the time

any ideas ?
Hello Scott.

I am really sorry because I can't replicate your issue in my local.

Can you provide us with Joomla backend and FTP access so we can check on the issue directly?

Hello Scott.

I have tried to drag the image into the box at your site and can upload it. Here is the video : http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-03-19_1348.swf

You need to click Upload Media first before drag the Image : http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-03-19_1354.png

Hope this help

yes i know that, but thats when it jams.

the same button you are talking about, you see the tool tip you get when you hover over it ?

I dont see that all the time, and when i dont see the tip the drag and drop is not working, + if i click it, it does nothing, my local images do not open.

so I can not drag and drop images + I cant upload direct either. SO no way to get images at all.

I'm really sorry that delayed of this reply and thanks for your video & music

By the way, I also attached a video shoot for you, can you take a look -> http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-03-19_1719.swf

because I'm still unable to access in your Joomla backend, perhaps you create another account so that we can access it and continuous check on this issues? Please advise.

Hi Scott,

Thanks for your login credential, now is working for me.

But I've tested few times, it seems like work fine for me, check my video link -> http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-03-19_1853.swf

If your site still hitting this, can you tell me what browser are you using and did you enable any cache system in your site?

Hi scott,

I'm really sorry that delayed of this reply,

What I suspect is your current template causing this issues, can you try set your template to use Joomla default Protostar and try click and drag your image file in media manager and see is it 100% working?

If yes, you have to consult with your current template regarding this and see how it goes.

OK I will switch a few templates and see if it still happens, I used chrome and i seen it so not just FF

I did find a banner that had some bad code in it today, the banner could of been the problem, the banners random rotation ? everything else except the banner is static and it could explain the random error i was seeing.

Just something for you to keep in mind if anyone else gets a random problem TURN OFF BANNERS

lets see, thanks again.
