Hello everybody,
My server is hosted by siteground, I use a GrowBig plan wich is suitable for roughly 25,000 visitors by month. I currently have somewhat about 80 to 120 a day. roughly less than 3000 by month, so I was estonished when siteground said me I will exhaust resources of my plan this month.

I have currently (12/28/2014) : 396548 lines in my log that match :
"POST /?option=com_komento HTTP/1.1"
I know these are AJAX request that are light and smalls (I read the previous post : http://stackideas.com/forums/excessive-raw-logs-with-com_komento), but as I have only 590942 lines in my log , the Ajax request are 67,15% of the all traffics in count of lines, and I think it's really too much, overdue probably attached to the fact some visitors remains connected a very, very long time.

Is there a way to change the frequency of these requests giving a much larger number of seconds between 2 calls (seems to be actually about approx. 25 - 30 second between calls).

I would not like to pay for a larger plan wich I do not need, and it would be a real pain if I should uninstall Komento only due to the fact it's tootalkative

thank's for time you will spend and I wish you (and to me too !) a happy new year

PS : url to my site : http://www.guerrier-celeste.fr (Thank you for not forgetting to disconnect you quickly)
Hello,

I believe the AJAX calls are those script that needed to check for the new comment which by default the interval is 10 seconds. You can increase it in Backend>Komento>Integration>Layout>Comment Item: http://screen.stackideas.com/2014-12-30_1232.png . Please give it a try.

Hello,

hope you have got an happy new year !

I changed the parameted and pushed it up to 300 secondes. Seemed to work well, but not really there something bad, I do not understand really. I joined a part of my last log examination and found something strange. If you examine the log about IP : 77.144.102.71, the intervall between two pack of lines written in log is somthing like 5 minutes (300 seconds) na fine !

fine not really each call is done three times for the same referrer : http://www.guerrier-celeste.fr/progresser/evenements/blancmanteau-frostfell.html in the same second and more than everything else: there is no comment on this page!
So why god is it repeat three times ?

Hello,

I've tried to observe the ajax call from the browser console the that page and seems like the ajax is called only once in 5 minutes: http://screen.stackideas.com/2015-01-05_2124.png .

By the way, it looks like your account isn’t tied up with any subscriptions on our site. Is there any mistake on our end? Would it be possible for you to contact us at https://crm.stackideas.com and provide us with the order reference and your username so that we can fix this up for you?
