I have tried setting the first image as a post cover but there is still a huge image on top. How can I get rid of this?

On another note when I try to share on Facebook it errors out.
Hello Cheryl,

Is it possible for you to provide us with the back end and FTP access to your site to check on this issue? You may store your site access at http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site so you don't have to provide these information all the time

Created an admin account and provided the requested details. I was able to fix the most recent post but all the previous ones still have blank post covers on top like this one - https://www.christcenteredgamer.com/index.php/staff-blogs/entry/whelek-self-inflating-camp-pad

Ah, this is a different issue altogether. It's not really an issue but the settings. I cannot see anything on your site because the user does not have privileges, http://take.ms/qIvPE

Here's what you can do, go to Settings > Views and under the Entry Layout tab, disable the option Show Post Image Placeholder.

The placeholder was already disabled but removing the post image seemed to help thanks! Do you know why the facebook sharing now shows error when i try to use it? (This just started happening after updating to Joomla 3.7)

I have a similar problem with Post Image showing a large empty image placeholder at the top of a post details page - it doesn't show in category or frontpage view. Like Cheryl my Settings > Views > Entry Layout tab already has show post image placeholder turned off. I fixed it on 3 websites that don't use Post Images by disabling Show Post Image. BUT I have one website that sometimes has a post image and sometimes doesn't. If I disabled Show Post Image on that site, ALL of the post images won't display. How can I set it so the placeholder doesn't show only on the posts that don't have a post image????

The affected website example page is https://www.sitesocal.com/blog/entry/the-meritage-collection-a-luxury-hotel-collection

Thanks for updating me on this Richard. We will push the next release to next week instead since this isn't really a critical issue. You can read more about this from https://stackideas.com/forums/placeholder-image-in-5-1-6
