Hi again guys,
I have 3 issues
1. uploading images via front end media manager returns a http error
2. I read in the forums this may be fixed by updating to Easyblog 5, so I tried that, but it returns an error that I'm not using a valid API key. I've regenerated the API and tried a few times, but no luck. Can you help me fix the uploading images issues, and help me update to Easyblog 5?
3. There is a big amount of space above my blog (see, for example https://lushplants.com.au/plant-garden-care-blog/organic-gardening). I assume this is because I have a module installed in content-top position, which is set to show on all pages. Why doesn't it show on my blog, and instead display a chunk of empty?
Thanks again, you're the best
Hi Elle,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it weekends for all of us here. Please find my answers from your inquiries below.

1. uploading images via front end media manager returns a http error

It seems like you are using Admin Tools in your Joomla site hence it will block some of the http request from certain components. I've added "com_easyblog" inside your WAF exception admin tools and the upload is working fine now.

2. I read in the forums this may be fixed by updating to Easyblog 5, so I tried that, but it returns an error that I'm not using a valid API key. I've regenerated the API and tried a few times, but no luck. Can you help me fix the uploading images issues, and help me update to Easyblog 5?

Since the issue has been fixed, do you still want to proceed to update your easyblog 3.9 to version 5.0.22? Please advise.

3. There is a big amount of space above my blog (see, for example https://lushplants.com.au/plant-garden-care-blog/organic-gardening). I assume this is because I have a module installed in content-top position, which is set to show on all pages. Why doesn't it show on my blog, and instead display a chunk of empty?

I've tried to view the page and it seems like everything seems to appear correctly from my end. Check my screenshot here, http://screencast.com/t/mBNAADl3FHbW . Am I missing something here?

Hi Elle,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply. I've checked your site and it seems like you are using Artio JoomSEF as your 3rd party sef extension. Currently easyblog 5 only support sh404sef as 3rd party sef extension and there might be some url issue when you are upgrading your easyblog 3.9 to easyblog 5.

With that being said do you still want to proceed the update on your site? Please advise.

Thank you Ezru,
Is there a possibility of Easyblog supporting JoomSEF in the near future?
Shame sh404 isn't made by Stackideas, if it was I'd buy it

Hi Elle,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply. Currently we do not have any plan to integrate it yet with easyblog 5.
