Hi guys,

I have a couple of issues:

1/ why is the html code displaying in the comments editor? see attached screenshot

2/ can the character counter be set to show character remaining rather than character used? I couldn't find it anywhere in the maze of settings.

thanks
Most modern comment systems no longer use the WYSIWYG editor since there are not all users knows HTML syntax.

Change to use BBCode style can prevent some of the cases like the users might accidentally add extra closing < /div > tag into the content so it will break the page layout.

Currently, we do not have a plan to add WYSIWYG editor.

1/ why is the html code displaying in the comments editor? see attached screenshot

Unfortunately, it is not possible to hide it if the user wants to add a bold word to the content, basically all these we called BBcode.

If you would like to hide this, you can hide the BBcode icon from the backend > Komento > setting > Editor > BBCode > Enable BBCode - NO or you can disable a specific BBCode function

2/ can the character counter be set to show character remaining rather than character used? I couldn't find it anywhere in the maze of settings.

Currently, it is not possible to configure that, but I will log this into the issue tracker.

Why could you not use the same tiny editor as joomla already has onboard, which allows you to use bold, quotes etc without showing any of the html to the user. Perhaps for the next update?
