Hi,

My client claims that the extension is no longer sending out emails when a topic is posted or a reply is made. How can I check this?

Sorry, I'm not familiar with this aspect of EasyDiscuss nor did I configure this function for them.
Hey there,

Can I have your permission to create a test discussions and replies on your site to check on this issue further?

Is these all your site users not getting the email notifications or only the subscribers?

By the way, can we update EasyDiscuss on your site?

Sorry, this is for another URL. I updated the credentials for the correct site. It is under another active subscription, which will be switched to me after it expires. The extension is up to date but feel free to update, if needed.

Yes, you may create a test post.

No member is currently receiving any notifications.

Hey there,

Based on what we checked on your site, something is strange even your site doesn't send out user registration activation link to the new user who register on your site.

This is what i tested on your site :

1. Temporary disable these plugins so I can able to register a new user account through prior Joomla registration form.
- System - Payplans
- System - Easysocial

2. Switch "New user account activation" this setting from administrator to self http://take.ms/qZZPE , so it will send user activation link to the new registered user.

3. Then manually access this Joomla registration page :
[gist type="php"]
http://www.ncagg.org/index.php?option=com_users&view=registration
[/gist]

4. Once I click submit, it will show me this message "Your account has been created and an activation link has been sent to the email address you entered. Note that you must activate the account by selecting the activation link when you get the email before you can login." , you can check my attached screenshot below.

5. Then I wait for 5 ~ 10 minute, I still unable to receive any email notification for this user account activation.

I suspect something is not right for your site PHP Mail, perhaps you can consider switch to use SMTP mailer and see how it goes? But for this SMTP setup, you have to contact with your webhosting provider regarding this and see whether they got provide you a webmail server regarding this.
