How do I turn on commenting for regular Joomla articles. I want to use EasySocial comment system.

I tried turn on EasySocial comments for EasyBlog, but layout looks bad (no header/ruler between blog post and comments), and somehow guests can not comment (even though I have set this in EasyBlog).

Now I am using EasyBlog comment system for EasyBlog, but problem with that is that when you click commenters name, you are directed to EasyBlog author page, and not EasySocial profile page.
Hello,

Here are the answers to your questions.
1. Can not remove location field.
Please replace the attached file in: ../components/com_komento/themes/wireframe/comment/form.php
2. Can not remove "Subscribe".
Please replace the attached file in: ../components/com_komento/themes/wireframe/comment/tools.php
3. Comments do not show up in EasySocial stream
I've installed Komento app for Easysocial and now it is working.
4,5,6,7 - You have to enable it in Komento>ACL: http://screencast.com/t/QzClQvKY

Hope this helps.

I tried turning on Komento (once again). Integrate with EasySocial. Layout a bit too much, but guess that could be worked on.
But it is the same problem here. If I log in as an EasySocial user, and post a (Komento) comment on one EasyBlog post, the username on the comment does not link to that user's EasySocial profile, it links to EasyBlog author profile. And somehow the comment is not shown in EasySocial activity stream (same problem with EasySocial comments actually, only EasyBlog comments shows comments in EasySocial activity stream).

This is making me crazy... I just want a simple comment system throughout my site for Joomla articles and EasyBlog posts, where usersnames are linked to that user's EasySocial profile, and where comments show up in EasySocial activity stream.

Hope you can help.

Ahh, found it! Komento > Integrations > Layout > Avatar. Set to EasySocial, and the username (in comment) links to EasySocial profile.

PS: When clicking the Save button in your backend settings, the refresh of page should stay on same page, as it is now (with Komento and EasySocial) it loads Dashboard page, and you have to work your way back after checking setting changes. Cumbersome, to say the least.

But after setting this to EasySocial, the comment form looks like shi... it looks wrong? See attached image.

Turning on BB code, makes the comment form look ok again!
(Guess I am stuck with BB code toolbar, but I can live with that)

Still I can not get rid of location and subscription fields...(see attached image). I have turned them off in both Komento > Integrations > Joomla article and EasyBlog.

Ok, final update before bed!

Enabled Komento.
Joomla articles works great, except:
1. Can not remove location field.
2. Can not remove "Subscribe".
3. Comments do not show up in EasySocial stream

EasyBlog (same Komento > Integration settings as above)
1-3 same as above
4. Attachment/File field do not show up
5. Like field do not work.
6. Reply field do not show up.
7. Report field do not show up.

Hope you can help. We are getting there!
