Easyblog is auto inserting a variety of H tags in my posts. They are not seo friendly and I have no control over them. My SEO analytical tool is red-flagging them as errors. Google shows excessive H1 tags on pages, which is a no no. So I want to turn off this function completely. I prefer to write and insert my own custom H tags. Please advise.
Many thanks.

Hey Jim,

Thanks for start a new thread for this, but it seems like you didn't elaborate more details which page your SEO analytical tool show red-flagging them as errors.

Perhaps you can provide us which page URL having these error so I will take a look and see where these generate from?

Arlex, I thought I was subscribed to this thread. Sorry for the late reply.
Go here: http://javelincommunications.com/on-milwaukee-website-design/relativity-theory-of-seo
You'll see that Easyblog uses the post title as the source for an H1 tag. It's also making an H2 tag out of the blog title.
That is what I want to halt.
For all posts in a blog to have duplicate H2 tags defeats their purpose and is bad for SEO. This is because the H2 tag needs to refer to the post content and be related, ideally, as kind of a subheading of the H1 tag. Google expects them to "cascade" logically.
For H1 tags to be derived from the post title (headline) is bad for SEO because headlines are for humans, tags are for robots. An H1 tag can show up in a Google listing. So we construct it rather differently from the headline which we write to grab the attention of humans.
So I would like to delete all the auto-generated H tags from my blog. Then I can embed my own custom tags independent of the blog title and the post title.
How you do it with your stock configuration might work for novices who don't know how to work with H tags. It would be better than nothing for the blogger who knows nothing about SEO. But I do know something, and so do a lot of other users who blog to rank.
Thank you,
-Jim G.

I really appreciate the quick answer pointing me in the right direction. Since I am not the greatest php coder, could you identify the deletions I should make? Maybe in future releases you enable user to toggle this function on or off in the control panel.
Thank you,
-Jim G.

Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

I have help you override this few files into your template file location for remove the blog header and blog title with the h1 and h2 tag.
JoomlaFolder/templates/ja_university_t3/html/com_easyblog/blogs/entry/default.php
JoomlaFolder/templates/ja_university_t3/html/com_easyblog/toolbar/default.php

But I realised your server enabled some cache system, can you clear your server, joomla, template cache before you test and see is it still show h1/h2 tag from the blog page?

I just saw this now, Arlex. Am not getting e-mail notifications. I have a cloud firewall with aggressive caching. The fix worked, thank you! Maybe sometime I can learn the edit myself for future use without having to bother you guys.
