Arlex, I thought I was subscribed to this thread. Sorry for the late reply.

You'll see that Easyblog uses the post title as the source for an H1 tag. It's also making an H2 tag out of the blog title.
That is what I want to halt.
For all posts in a blog to have duplicate H2 tags defeats their purpose and is bad for SEO. This is because the H2 tag needs to refer to the post content and be related, ideally, as kind of a subheading of the H1 tag. Google expects them to "cascade" logically.
For H1 tags to be derived from the post title (headline) is bad for SEO because headlines are for humans, tags are for robots. An H1 tag can show up in a Google listing. So we construct it rather differently from the headline which we write to grab the attention of humans.
So I would like to delete all the auto-generated H tags from my blog. Then I can embed my own custom tags independent of the blog title and the post title.
How you do it with your stock configuration might work for novices who don't know how to work with H tags. It would be better than nothing for the blogger who knows nothing about SEO. But I do know something, and so do a lot of other users who blog to rank.
Thank you,
-Jim G.
