Hello,

I am looking for how to create custom objects managed by users on EasySocial.
These objects should have their own display page, and should be editable by 1 member of the network (or several if possible).
The object should have a photo (banner + profile), some fields like name, location, etc.

I am wondering how to start that development and how to structure it to best fit easysocial code, anybody could help?

Thanks
Hi there,

You can try to look at a sample of our EasySocial module on how the structure that can give you some brief idea of it. For retrieving some User data, you can have a look on this documentation

Hi Muhammad,

Thanks for your answer.
Could you be a bit more specific about the sample module for easysocial? Where can I find it? (I am very new to easysocial).
I don't really need to retreive some user's data, but to add a new kind of structured data.

Best regards

Hello Jean,

To be honest, I am not really sure if I understand what you are trying to achieve here when you mean "structured data". We are pretty technical but based on your description, I am still unable to process this.

The response from my colleague earlier is to request you to take a look at some of the modules which we have already created for EasySocial. These modules could be found in the /modules/ folder and they all have a mod_easysocial_ prefix in front of their folder names.

By the way, perhaps if you could enlighten us more about what you are trying to achieve (screenshot maybe?), we'll try our best to advise you on your next course of action

Thanks for your answer, I will have a look at the existing modules.
I am trying to add some objects on the social network that are not profiles, but that have an identity card, a wall, and photo/video albums (a bit like a Facebook page, but customized).
In the 1st part of the project these objects will be schools, so it needs to have name, location, specialties, followers, etc
In the future I would like to add students groups managed by this school, an additional page to present the teachers, and another one to present the planning

I hope it is precise enough

Hey Jean,

Thanks for took your time to explained again with your requirement

Currently we do not have Easysocial page in 1.4 version yet, but our developer already started working on Easysocial Page in Easysocial 2.0.
What my suggestion is you can create a new open group to achieve this (add students groups managed by this school), so all the student can join this group and share photo/video/story in this group as well.
