How do I sort the apps (Events, Friends, Photos etc) on the sidebar of user profile? Example: if I want to show Photos app first and then Friends app, on user profiles.

Unfortunately there is no settings from the backend to sort the position of the apps on the dashboard sidebar. You need to manually re-position the sidebar apps by going to your /components/com_easysocial/themes/wireframe/dashboard/default.php under the es-sidebar division.
