How to show all photo albums under the Albums menu link?!

Hello, am I missing a setting somewhere which which show all created photo albums under the general default EasySocial http://www.mysite.com /photos link?

Right now it seems to only pull albums from profile pages... my site is heavily geared around EasySocial events and people go to the event to create their photo albums from those events..

So the problem I have is visitors naturally go to the /photos link and see very little activity - it makes the site looks inactive on the photos front, when in reality there are lots of great photos being posted all the time!!!!

Is this isn't currently available, wouldn't you agree it makes sense from a community point of view? (same for videos probably!)

Currently, it how it behave actually where we will not shown you any images/videos from events/groups/pages as those images should not shown generally on photos sections.

Perhaps it would be best if you can submit a feature request regarding this issues by creating a new ticket on the forums and set it to "Feature Request" so that everyone else could vote for it. We will prioritize this feature during the development process for the next major version of EasySocial if there are more people request on this.

Unfortunately the feature request is there already. Not picking up many votes.

It just seems to be fundamentally wrong for a community that when you click "PHOTOS" you don't actually see all the "PHOTOS" (same for Videos) - Seems we're missing out on showing visitors how active our communities really are.

I assume there's no easy code hack to achieve this because it doesn't seem this issue attracts enough attention on the 'feature request' area... If you have a chance to bring it up at a team meeting I'd appreciate it... just stepping back and thinking "How should this really work for a community site?"

Hi Andy,

Actually, on older version(v1.x) we do included all photos and videos on that views but there are plenty of users requested this to not shown and only shown users photos instead of groups,events and pages.

And that why i asked you to post them on feature request as for us to see if these feature should be returned back or not, as long there are some interest by other users also.

Good idea Alexps - I see your post and others related in the feature requests, so hopefully our wonderful StackIdeas will see them, consider and bring back this feature.

Very important to show the true vibrancy of a community instead of providing a wrongful impression of there being less user activity than there really is.

I don't want to have to tell my users "Ah, if you want your videos and photos to show up on the main photos and video pages, then you have to post them on your actual profile page as well as, for example, on the relevant events page." - Nasty duplication of effort there!

Me too I would like to include Albums from Groups/Pages/Events in User Albums.
And in domain.com/albums too

I suggest it too. Now groups’s albums doesn’t get enough attention because it impossible to find in main gallery page.

Glad (and not surprised) that so many of us need this. Photos and Videos are key to engagement and right now the system just doesn't do justice to the real levels of activity. I see my users visit my /photos and /videos pages and they think the site is 'dead' - as things are now it's very misleading! So yes, hoping this can be fixed.

Whilst I'm here, wishing the StackIdeas Super Heroes and all others that celebrate it, a happy Eid.

Andy, do you use something to display event / groups / pages’s videos and albums?

I just tested “Video” and “Albums” module — it doesn’t allow to display content from clusters only

Menu items doesn’t allow to display group’s stuff too

I really have no idea what to do.

After migration to EasySocial users stops to fill groups with content. Because nobody will see it.

Unfortunately I don't have any work-around solution at the moment. All the great content that people are posting gets hidden away

Hi, Andy. May be you can edit this ticket and move it from "Feature Requests" to "General Issue"?
Just to ask support team discuss it and answer is it possible to do in some 3.1.x future release version? Thanks.

At the moment when group's content (videos, albums) doesn't get attention, I thinking about moving media to publick profile and don't use Group feature

Thanks Dmitry. I've just tried that. I think the team are aware of this big issue though and suspect they have a plan! Hopefully we'll be able to show our site members and visitors all the videos and photos that are on the site soon!
