Almost all of our groups are based on locations such as countries or parts of countries (states in the USA). So I would like to use the "Nearby Groups" button to display such groups. I don't see any settings in ES -> Dashboard -> Groups -> Groups or the Settings area. I assume some geocoding will be involved.

But I'm not having any luck finding documentation or forums posts explaining how to set up this feature.

Could you please point me either to the documentation or explain?

Thanks. -- Rik
Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

From what I see, you already setup this from your backend.

If the user want to search whether those group nearby their place, they can search it from the group listing page https://monosnap.com/file/f70fi5i0MIvS9PlHfJbHOjbjjpd6sj

Or under advance search page https://travel.com/community/search/advanced/group , but your group custom field must have those location field if you would like user to search the group using geocoding.

I'm sorry but I still don't quite understand. Where is the "group custom field" set?

Does one insert a new custom field within the group workflow and use the "address field" to geocode for the group location?

Please advise. Thanks. -- Rik

Hey there,

Yes, you need to have "address field" on your group workflow. https://take.ms/WNM0D
