How do we give Publishers on our site access to create and modify blog entries from the front end? I changed the settings in the global configuration but it hasn't given me access. We're using EasyBlog on this page https://joomla.encorelab.org/news.
Hi Megan,

You can configure the access of each user group by going to your backend > easyblog > ACL > select your user group and modify it from there.

Hope these help.

Hi Ezrul,

Unfortunately that does not help. Almost all of the settings for the Publisher user group under the EasyBlog > ACL are already set to Yes (allowed - see screenshot). But when I sign in with an account that has Publisher access I cannot create a new blog article or edit the existing ones. Please advise.

Thanks,
Meagan

Hi Meagan,

It seems like you are using older version of easyblog on your site and there might be some issue with the ACL configuration there. By the way it seems like the provided joomla backend credentials is not working for me, http://screencast.com/t/nrO58I64dN4 .

Please advise.

I posted in the private comment on the initial post in this thread that I am waiting for our server admin to fix the file permissions so that we can upgrade. Unfortunately my hands are tied in this regard until then.

How can I privately message you the correct login info?

He Meagan,

Ah I see. If you are requested to submit your site details, you may do so at site details area here, http://stackideas.com/dashboard/site. Please rest assured that this information will only be visible to the support team from Stack Ideas.

You can also set this thread as "private" by editing the main post and check on the checkbox here, http://screencast.com/t/JFVELkb7V4Xj .

Hi Meagan,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply.

May I have your user account that are having issue to create or edit a blog post on your site? I also notice that you have set some of your user account to have multiple joomla user group, http://screencast.com/t/ymJHICv5spPG which is not the best practice in joomla as it can cause confusion for you to manage later.

Please advise.

I'd like the user group Publisher to be able to create & modify EasyBlog news articles from the front-end like they can with menu items, modules & articles. I don't want them to have to log in using the administrator screen. I added the user account details to the Site details page.

I think the site is not working now b/c of trying to upgrade the version of EasyBlog last night by one of your devs. I've installed what they were asking for so hopefully it is working again at some point tonight.

Thanks again,

Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

I already managed for you under backend > Easyblog > ACL > publisher > moderation tab, can you try using one of your site publisher user account and see is it can create/edit post in your frontend?
