hello! is there an option to separate the Easydiscuss profile from the Easyblog profile? They are merged since I installed Easydiscuss in my website.
Hey there,

We found that, there is some styling conflict with your site template which caused the contents for basic settings for your account disappeared. So we add some custom css in your site backend > Extensions > Templates > cloudbase3-Default > cloudbase3-custom.css .The upload picture and other contents are showing properly now in your site frontend. Here is the custom css code that we add:
[gist type="css"]
/* fix for the styling conflict which caused Easyblog upload avatar form disappeared */
body #eb .form-horizontal.clear{
font-size: inherit !important;
overflow: visible !important;
visibility: visible !important;
width: auto !important;
height: auto !important;
}
[/gist]

Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

This is happening because all the users who registering into your site will be stored in a same place (Joomla user table #__users). When you have installed different components in your site all the users in your site can access these components. So, these components user listing pages also will show all the users of your site.

But if you have restrict the access to the components for certain users then you will able to display only that users in the components user listing page. If you want to do this, you can update us we will guide you on the steps to achieve this.

Mmm. Deactivate my Website forum (Easydiscuss)?? I only wigh the user frontpage "listing" (as it was a independet blog) came back again without restricting them access to the website forum (Easydiscuss). Everytime I click on an Easyblog "user/author", I am taken to their profile in Easydiscuss and I don't want that.

Is it possible with your extensions? Or do we have to do something more complicated (anda losing in that way some functions (like merging the points and badge?

Hey there,

Everytime I click on an Easyblog "user/author", I am taken to their profile in Easydiscuss and I don't want that.

To achieve this, go to your site backend > Components > EasyBlog > Settings > Layout > General tab > Avatars section > User Avatar Source set this to Default https://take.ms/6Wcb6 > save your changes

Thank you, very much! I solved the problem, but I have another problem.

By doing that, the Bloggers can't "upload" their profile picture. That's the mein reason I merged both Easyblog and Easydiscuss. Will you add this feature in the next update? Please, it's very important (because currently I have to upload their profile photos manually, and it's frustrating).

Hey there,

The setting that I mentioned earlier will only help you to not link the users with the easydiscuss users listing page.

If you have enabled the setting called Enable Author Avatar from your site backend > Components > EasyBlog > Settings > Layout > General tab > Avatars section https://take.ms/0QkNl ,your site bloggers will be able to upload their own profile pictures from here https://take.ms/CJb8F https://take.ms/Bs6Yt.

Hi there,

I think you are in the wrong page. This settings Enable Author Avatar is in your site backend > Components > EasyBlog > Settings > Layout > General > Avatars > turn on Enable Author Avatar https://take.ms/L9RRm

By the way, if you need further assistance or you unable to manage to make it work, you can provide us with your site backend and FTP access at https://stackideas.com/dashboard/site so we can better have a check.

I just gave you my site details. You wil see I turned on the required function, but the message I showd in my attached file said someting strange (you will only be able to change the avatar if you are using the "built in" avatar feature). Later, you tell me what was wrong in my Easyblog installation. Thanks in advance!

Hey there,

I tried open the page and it seems working fine for me https://take.ms/krbrI .May be, in your end these could be because of the browser cache it was not showing the latest styling changes you made to the site. Can you clear the browsing cache and see whether it's working fine.
