Hi,

Need your help on the issues below:
- How do I remove the page title "Recent blog posts" which is on my front page?
- My blog title is not showing up anymore even though I have specified this.

Attached are the screenshots for the issues mentioned above.
Hello Amritpal Singh,

- How do I remove the page title "Recent blog posts" which is on my front page?
Please replace the attached file in: ../components/com_easyblog/views/views.php.

- My blog title is not showing up anymore even though I have specified this.
It is not shown is because you have enabled this option: http://screencast.com/t/uMRleMyh5fA . I've turned it off and the title is displayed correctly now.

Hope this helps.

Hi Nick,

Thanks for your update.
Two issues which I mentioned is resolved.

However, there is one more issue I need your help to resolve.

In this attachment, you will see that the picture of the left hand side is visible even though I didn't set it.
Can you help me understand how this can be removed somehow?

Hi there,

That image is called "Placeholder image" and the reason why it appearing is because that blog post does not contain any cover image. However this can be configure from your backend > easyblog > settings > layout > listings as you can see from my screenshot here, http://screencast.com/t/HtOVoggB1 .

Hope these help.

Hi,

Thanks for your clarification.

However if you look at my latest blog post via attachment below, it seems EasyBlog chooses either the last picture or any picture to be placed on the top left hand side? Is this expected and if yes, why?

I would have thought whatever you post, it will just following what is written, please correct me if I'm wrong here.

Hi there,

In your attachment, the reason that image is displaying was due to your that particular post blog has the 'cover photo' while your other blog post 'Welcome to the Rotary Club of Teluk Intan website!' do not have the cover photo assigned.

Hope this help

Hi,

What determines a cover photo to be placed?
Because when I blog via email, i would have a number of pictures attached in my blog post.
So is it by random or what?

So back to my latest blog post, the last picture is used as cover photo but I didn't set that.....

Hi Amritpal,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply.

By default your last image attachment inside your mail will be used as first image of the blog and that first image will be used as cover picture. You can however change this behavior by going to your backend > easyblog > settings > mailbox posting > publishing options and turn on "Process Blog Image" as you can see from my screenshot here, http://screencast.com/t/mjhAavoPc

What determines a cover photo to be placed?

As I mentioned earlier, if there are no cover photo set during the composing, easyblog will use any first image as default cover photo for the blog.

Hope these help.
