How to remove things from Advance Search

Hey Hey how's it going,

Just trying to figure out how to remove the options or check box in the advance search for Articles I don't use it and was wondering how i can remove same as contact and stuff, i've disabled the smart search content and contacts but hasn't changed much

any help will be much appricitated

Thanks Guys it says i need to extend my subscription to view answer but i have the mails thanks, Could some one look in ot why i can't view answer please, my subscription should be uptodate -------------------------------
You can remove them by switching off the depending search index plugins. In case of removing 'Articles' you have to switch off the plugin searchindex content.

Alex,

The advanced search value is based on the smart search plugins that are available on your joomla site. If you want to remove it, first you need to disable the plugin from your plugin manager. See example in my screenshot here, http://screencast.com/t/gNZtshPJ .

After you have disabled the selected plugins, go to your backend > smart search, and click on "Clear index" to purge all of the search index. After that, click on "Index" button to re-index the search again on your site. Refer my screenshot here, http://screencast.com/t/zOevvsg0O .
