Hi,

I've set up a site for a company that has 4 registered users and all 4 will contribute to the blog. I need my super user admin leaving on the site so I can help them out when ever required in the future but my user account is appearing as a blogger.

I saw another post that had the solution to turn off write access to the user you want to exclude but I'm down as the Super User so always need write access.

How can I remove myself from the blog and why do users automatically get added to the bloggers list? It doesn't make sense to go that route?

Look forward to any help.

Thanks

Andrew
Hello Andrew,

There is setting in the EasyBlog where you can exclude certain user from displaying in the bloggers list. You can try use this Exclude users from blogger listings so that you can exclude superuser from blogger listing. By the way, each user doesn't get automatically added in the bloggers list. I believe you have set No to Only show blogger with post. You can find this setting at EasyBlog -> Workflow -> General -> Features. Please give this a try and see if this resolved the issue.

Hope this will help.
Thanks.

Many thanks for the quick reply.

After reading your instructions I found and added my username to the 'Exclude users from blogger listings ' but that didn't work. Any reason why it won't work if that's what it's meant to do? Perhaps it's a bug?

You're right about the 'Only show blogger with post' being set to NO so I changed to YES and my user is removed, also the other three users leaving just one.

Perhaps if I can get the 'Exclude users from blogger listings ' to work correctly somehow I can get the other three users back with avatars as they've requested.

Cheers,

Andrew

Hello Andrew,

I am sorry for not being clear in my explanation before. In order for Exclude users from blogger listings to be working is you should put your ID, not username. Here where you can find your ID: http://screencast.com/t/yvhShsTw . Please give this a try and see if this resolved the issue.

Hope this will work.
Thanks.

Nice one. I didn't think to add the ID.

It works now and I've switched the 'Only show blogger with post' to NO so clients will be happy as all avatars are showing again.

Thanks for your help.
