Is there a way to remove (1) Random Groups, (2) Random Albums, and (3) Random Members after selecting "View Category" in the group categories page?

Hopefully, there is a way to change this in the backend as I do not want to make code changes.
Hello Joey,

There is no option to remove that. However, you can edit this file: ../components/com_easysocial/themes/wireframe/groups/category/default.php and remove these codes: http://take.ms/e1eV7

Just one more question along the same line of questions.

When "View Category" is clicked, does it go to the correct page?
I think when "View Category" is click, it actually shows groups in the category and subcategories.
Therefore, it should read "View Groups in Category", right?

It would be great if when a user click a category in the sidebar, the main page will show its subcategory and uploaded image so users could then navigate from the main screen, not the sidebar.

Also, instead of the Radom (1) Groups, (2) Albums, and (3) Members, it should be the "Categories" sidebar because it is difficult to navigate backwards especially it there are many subcategories.

Hello Joey,

Thanks for the suggestion. It could be a good improvement for categories navigation. However, we can't simply change this behavior since most of our users already familiar with this navigation behavior. It would be best if you can submit a feature request regarding this by creating a new ticket on the forums and set it to "Feature Request", so everyone else could vote for it, the more people request on this, and we will consider it.
