Regarding your inquiry about the advanced search and the photos link, you can remove them from these two modules: EasySocial Dropdown Menu and Office Sidebar Module. Unfortunately, there is no available setting to do this. You'll have to remove it from the code itself.

Check these files:
/templates/office/html/mod_easysocial_dropdown_menu/default.php
/modules/mod_office_sidebar/tmpl/default.php

By the way, these 2 files are core files, therefore, they will get overridden during updates. Please ensure you've backup your site before updating your site.
