I'd like to put an image with a link on it, for all my posts, and have this clickable image displayed in my posts lists. Even better, I'd like to be able to have a Joomla banner, not just an image, so I can track the clicks made on that banner.

I discovered custom fields and at first I was under the impression that I could use them, but they are a bit too limited. For example, I could use the hyperlink custom field, but I can't put html image tag in the title field, nor de link field. Is there a way I can maybe program my own custom fields ? any suggestion is appreciated, I new with Easy Blog, though I'm a developper dans can program Joomla compatible stuff.
Hi there,

It seems that i will need more information from you as i cant get the full idea of what you required here. Is it you required to put 'Cover Photos' to each of your post? If yes, you can use 'Add Cover' as shown https://screencast.com/t/NGMjOmDc but somehow, you cant put anything on that photo cover, such as title. By the way, this feature actually, already included on our latest EasyBlog version, that is on version 5.1, still under RC version as you can check on here https://stackideas.com/forums/easyblog-5-1-beta-2 . Maybe you can try to installed them on your test/staging site and see how it goes

If not, maybe you can explain more on what you wanted to achieved here more thoroughly, maybe provide us with some screenshot or step-to-steps on how to achieved this.

Please advice.

What I'd like to achieve is add a Call to actions under the form of an image, that, when clicked, will lead users to a new URL in a new window. And I'd like to use standard Joomla banners for that, because they allow me to track the number of clicks and views these images get.

Basically, I'd like to have just one field for the Joomla banner ID. And when that custom field is displayed, it could then just use that banner's properties for its display. When clicked, it would also increase that banners hit count. Basically, it would look and behave as much as possible as an ordinary Joomla banner that I can then include in my posts when relevant.

Hi there,

Honestly, we still didn't get what your requirement above

But from my understanding, you wanted to show those "Joomla's Banners" on your post? if yes, you can use those module in your post itself, by using 'Module' option as shown https://screencast.com/t/hIvqx6xGkH.

Note:
You have to use WYSWIG editor that is apart from 'Easyblog Built-in composer' as you can see at Backend>Components>Easyblog>Settings>Composer as shown https://screencast.com/t/wV3LXpF03.

Please advice.

This module insert function is exactly what I'm looking for it seems. It didn't want to show up in Tiny MCE, then after some saving of the settings, it started to show up. Thanks!
