Hello - last one for today.. promise! (its 5:15am here)
I would like to make some users be an easysocial admin (but not joomla admin for security reasons)
Is there a way to do this, and mark them as a moderator in their profile (Registered Users becomes Moderator)?
Hey gjay,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. Currently, most of these are configured in the profile type ACL. There isn't a specific rule to make them an admin but they are based on the features that are available.

For instance, to allow users to manage (edit, delete) comments on the site, you can enable the following rules for the profile type, http://take.ms/IKNoK

To allow users to manage moderation queue for group, event and pages you can enable the rule, http://take.ms/ml7A5

Hmm this looks a bit complex. I'll have to look when I'm out of bed later

No problem gjay, it's not really that complicated but it's more flexible :P

If I do it this way, will that person have the EXACT same control as a regular site admin?

Hey gjay,

Hm, no it doesn't. A super admin has explicit rights that is special to super admins only.

Hmm may be this can be improved in jomsocial? Superuser accounts should be very limited for obvious security reasons.
I believe the jomsocial a user could be put into a joomla group such as moderator instead of superuser. But the acl in jomsocial could let a moderator do everything a superuser could but without the security risks.

Hey gjay,

Thanks for the input on this, perhaps having a single global moderation option would be easier for sites who doesn't need robust ACL controls. Will see if we could implement this in EasySocial 2.2
