How to lock the "name" field in the edit profile option?

I need to change the "profile" options that are available to site users. I can't figure out of the profile is generated within Joomla! or if it is an EasyDiscuss option. I've attached a screen-shot of what I see; I hope that will help you determine how and where I make my required change.

In the current configuration, the user can change his or her "Name". I want to lock this field. Name changes will be managed by a site administrator.

How can I change the name field in the profile to block editing?

In the screen shot that you have included, that portion is actually Joomla's edit profile page and it isn't easydiscuss. I suppose, you can edit their template file in /components/com_users/views/profile/tmpl/edit.php by disabling the field but the user could bypass it simply by modifying the value with firebug.

I just tried to search through the options in Joomla and there doesn't seem to be a place for you to disable name changing, http://take.ms/YubmT
