Correct me if I'm wrong here, do you mean you want to set how many stream item to be displays for the non register user? It is actually depend how many stream item you want to load in the setting:

Sorry for not responding but we had a big wind here and it blew down power lines. Been down for days but running slow...so my question really is their any control on how new registrations show up on user's login page or home pages? I didn't see such a thing in Alerts settings.

So let's say Joe the Plumber registers...

Does his registration automatically show up on Mary Smith's login or home page? If Joe's registrations alerts show up automatically on her login or home page, how do I keep Joe's registration from showing up thereon?

Or do new registration ONLY show up on my page as administrator?

Ah, you mean you want to shows the ' just register on the site' stream item to everyone? actually the stream item was already public view. Where other user apart from his friend can view it in the 'everyone' filter stream https://www.screencast.com/t/Y8eBPxaJA3
