Hi,

i am making a blog with the easyblog editor using the video template. Now i would like to include the 3 x mp4 videos already beeing on my server without uploading them to the easyblog file manager.

How do i do this?

cheers,

Arnd
Hi there,

Currently, it is not possible to achieved that but i would advice you to use our 'Media' manager as you can see here http://take.ms/eQt2Z and upload those videos there. You can re-use it on other/different time or on other blog also.

If those suggestions doesnt works as you intended, it would be best if you can submit a feature request regarding this issues by creating a new ticket on the forums and set it to "Feature Request", so everyone else could vote for it, the more people request on this, and we will priority consider it.

Thanks for your understanding

Hi,

my site is quite old and i have about 1.5GB of images plus some videos already on the server. It doesnt make any sense to upload all the images and the HD videos again.

So please offer a way to either import local media into your media manager, just make the joomla stock media manager available for Easyblog content or allow to specify a local file URL pointing to a video or image.

Thx,

Arnd

By the way, maybe you can try to copy those images/video and paste them respectively on your media storage path and see how it goes. But, you are required to have all sizes of for that particular images as you can see here http://take.ms/1aqNP, or it wont be rendered and cannot be used on your site.

These images sizes will be rendered by itself when you upload those images to your site.

Thanks for your understanding
