I mean the frontend timeline; logged in users can click the video icon in the frontend and there they can paste a video url to add it. However, this does not work for youtube. Uploading a video from their PC does work. So I would like to hide the option to paste a video url.

By right the video url link pasting should working fine in latest version of easysocial 1.4.1 as you can see from my screenshot here, http://screencast.com/t/OA5GDgctm . May I know what version of easysocial you are currently using? Can you provide us with your joomla backend and FTP access as well?

Thank you for your message. I missed the 1.4.1 ES release, After updating, the video url add works A-OK
