Me again *sigh*
So I want to participate in a linkup, which requires adding code to my blog post. In the previous version, I simply toggled to the code and inserted it. I still have the old site at my disposal and the code definitely works, but the code is not working in the composer block. Do I replace ALL the code in the composer block, or just some of it?
Thank you!
The related posts is sorted, thank you! What did you do? I had already tried changing that setting and it didn't work.

You're welcome. I actually already explained at my above reply.

Regarding the notifications, which is the best option to update if the post is already published? Apply or update post?

If the post already updated and send out all the notification to your site subscriber, then you trying to update the post and click on "Apply" or "Update Post" button, that will not notify to your site subscriber again. Unless you manually click on that notify button from your blog listing page. (screenshot : http://screencast.com/t/bxxsslNl )

OK, so I discovered I was trying to insert code and it should be HTML. HOWEVER, the HTML block won't insert! I want to revise a published post and insert HTML code. I click "Add Block" and the blocks appear. I choose HTML and click where I want the block to be inserted and nothing happens. It returns to "Add Block".

So far, am NOT loving EasyBlog 5

Hey Sue,

Hm, thanks for your feedback, we also received a lot of bad feedback from the build-in composer editor. But we will try implement back the old editor similar 3.9x, so user can easier to use it.

If this build-in composer quite hard to use it, you can actually switch this composer to use Tiny-MCE editor from backend > Easyblog > settings > general > composer > select editor

By the way, can you provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can better have a check?

You can put your site details into first post, click on the edit button (screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/kfFWY3ffEet ) then put into optional information field.

Hi Arlex,
I was trying to get used to the built-in composer. Now that I've created the post with it, I seem unable to revert to Tiny-MCE to edit the post.
I'm happy to give you backend access, but I REALLY don't want you making changes - I'd rather you told me how to go about it, if that's ok. I need to learn!

Hey Sue,

Thanks for getting back to us quickly.

Unfortunately that was not possible to switch back to tiny-mce editor If you already save the post in build-in composer, because Tiny-mce editor do not know how to render our Easyblog build-in composer block.

But when you create a new post, it will show the Tiny-mce editor.

Regarding with your HTML block issue, currently we still fixing on this, now I have help you switch that Easyblog environment mode to use development, it should work fine now, can you give it a try drag that HTML block into your blog content.

Hi Arlex, it works now, thank you! Can you confirm... which is the best way to update the post WITHOUT notifying my subscribers? Apply? or Update Post?

Sorry... one more question! My "Related Posts" is set to a maximum of 2, but on some posts there are 5 showing. How do I change that?

You're welcome
The best way is save as draft first until your blog is ready to publish on your site.
Remember do not click "Apply" and "Update Post" from your blog which haven't publish before if you do not want to notify your subscriber, because it will send out to your subscriber this blog is published.

I already help you re-save all of your categories setting from backend, then now the system will refering on this setting layout > post option > http://screencast.com/t/DGcuQ4uL

can you give it a try is it show 3 related post now? if you would like show 2, you can set it to 2 from backend >Easyblog > setting > layout > post option

Thank you Arlex. As I said I already changed the number of related posts to display and no matter what number I put in, it still showed up to 5, so I don't know what you did to make it work. No matter, it's sorted now.

Thank you for explaining about the notifications; that was very helpful.

As a gentle reminder, kindly start a new thread if you have any other issue in the future so it will be easier for us to manage your inquiry. I will lock and mark this thread as resolved.
