I know this would be somewhere in your instructions, but I find it strange that the embed link is visible in one post but not a new post.

see attached screen cap

How do I embed a youtube vid in a blank template? and why is the embed video link not in view? if I click the media link it has no option that was obvious to place the desired link in " https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WtbPiYQDNkY";

Strange UX guys
Hi Steve,

Actually those 2 posts are using different editors. The 'Embed Video' option on top only appear for WYSIWYG/legacy editors.

In your second screenshot, the composer is using EasyBlog's built-in composer, which utilizes blocks.

To insert youtube embed videos in the built-in composer, you would have to add the youtube embed block(http://take.ms/KnNLI), similar to how you add other blocks in the post.

Hi Raymond,
How do I access these "two different " editors with easyblog ?
I think I'd like to use the WYSIWYG/legacy editor.

Hey Steve,

You can select the default editor to be used at Settings>Editor>General>Default Editor http://take.ms/ibMrz

WYSIWYG/legacy are basically Joomla editors like TinyMCE and JCE.
