Hello,

Can you please show me how can I Embed Video in EasyBlog 5?
Earlier version had an option to just put link and Embed video, but I don't see that option now.

Thank you.

Kind regards.

(You have my Site Details from previous post)
Hello Miroslav,

I am sorry for the confusion on the video embed. We actually removed the video embed feature due to Joomla editor already has the ability to embed video. Please see:

http://screencast.com/t/AjKGvtyhpb
http://screencast.com/t/5VmaVB0Di3O

In order to use the above video embed feature from your Joomla editor, you will also need to allow 'iframe' tag from your EasyBlog's Joomla group ACL. Go to EasyBlog backend under ACL -> 'select Joomla group that your blogger was assigned' -> Text filter and remove the iframe tag from 'Disallowed HTML Tags ' setting. Please see: http://screencast.com/t/lY9FfaALqF7z

Next you need to make the editor functionality to "extended" mode from your backend > plugins > editor - tinymce > functionality, http://screencast.com/t/1Vkn426qd and you are good to go.

Hi Miroslav,

In EasyBlog5, we have changed the way the video is embedded. Right now, users can choose from the existing embeddables available in EasyBlog5. Here is my screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/P0OPJvslqKAp . If you wanted to embed a youtube video, you can just simply click on the youtube icon and drag it into your post.

Hope this helps.

Hello Miroslav,

This feature is only available when you using easyblog built in composer where you can change it from your backend > easyblog > settings > general > composer, http://screencast.com/t/diyffmpf . After that click on the top toolbar of the composer called "blocks" and you should be able to see the embedded block inside, http://screencast.com/t/XrI7m35yH0w .

Hi Ezrul,

Ok. I saw, and tested, and as I see this will be to much complicated for our users. There is no simple editor and embed option as was before in one composer.

I am thinking to go back to previus version of blog.

Thank you.

Kind regards
