Hi,

How are people doing staging? What are the best practices?

Do you have a duplicate Joomla installation tapping into the same live database for testing? This sounds dangerous.

What are the best apps that allow you to do this?

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here. I would suggest you to split the database rather than connecting to the same database
