Before a purchase, I needed to know if I can customize according to my requirements. I was testing out the demo site (which shows the version to be out-of-date) - I disabled Discussions in Groups but still it is appearing. Can you please look into the matter and update the Demo site please. I have included the step to reproduce it in the attachment.

Same applies to other components. Is enabling/disabling problematic? Thanks.
You can see it in full here

Hello Raani,

Thank you for your interest in EasySocial! You actually need to remove the "discussions" field on the group category. Only then, the option to enable discussions on the group level will no longer appear

Hello Mark,

Thanks - as you can see in the picture above I have already done that. Unpublished that. [Uninstall is not allowed]
You can reproduce it in the Demo site. Can you please tell me if Unpublished = Removed or not.
If not, how to "remove" ?

You need to customize it in the profile type's custom field editor. Anyway if you are a customer, you can always obtain for support

Hello Mark,

Thanks for your time and explaining. However, that does not work - I guess it has nothing to do with Profile type. What does unpublishing all the Discussions in the Application meant to do then? Anyway, thanks. I understand that "if you are a customer, you can always obtain for support"
Best regards.

HI Raani,

Thanks for your reply and your interest in EasySocial.
I believe we already addressed this issue in the latest version of EasySocial. Our demo site is not yet updated to the latest. I am really sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Thanks and have an awesome day a head.

Hi Everybody,
I am having the same issue, although I think I screwed up. I went to the custom fields area of a group category and deleted the option to allow discussions. But that just removed that option in the group settings. In other words, if the group already had discussions turned on, then it didn't remove discussions from the group - it only took away the ability to change the setting.

Hello Brent,

Have you try to disable the group - discussion apps from your backend > easysocial > applications > group - discussion and see how it goes?

OH! I had unpublished the Group — Discussions "Fields", not the "Application" on that list. I just unpublished the Application and now it is what I was looking for.

Thanks!
