How to disable posting of likes in stream

I'd like to disable likes from being posted to the "news feed" (stream). My users don't really find likes to be content and I'd like to reserve the news feed for more important content.

I can't seem to find the setting that will allow me to accomplish this. Has anyone done this? If so, how?

Sorry for late reply to this,

You can disable the LIKE feature from your backend > Easysocial > setting > stream > enable LIKE - NO , hope this help.

Hi Arlex,

I saw that settings item but the tooltip for it states, "If enabled, users would be able to like the stream item." I do not want to disable liking of stream items. I want to disable the "Like" from showing in the newsfeed (stream). See attached image for an example of the kind of news feed item I want to prevent.

Hello Chris,

Ah I see but unfortunately it is not possible to turn off likes stream activity currently.
