Hi folks,

I'm getting unwanted Komento posts by "guests." These may be bots or real-life spammers, I don't know. Anyhow, how can I turn off posting by guests? I tried adding CAPTCHA but it didn't seem to make a difference; I was still able to post a test comment without doing the CAPTCHA test.

Thanks for your help! StackIdeas rules!

Hello JH,

I've helped you disable this ACL setting: http://screencast.com/t/QhCH6BjaYfq and guest should not be able to add comment now. Please verify this. Make sure you are not logged in to the frontend in order to test.

Hi

I am actually trying to "enable" guest posts in the ACL settings for guests I have "add comments" set to yes but all at the bttom of each article is "You don't have permission to view or post comments"

eg. http://www.gamblingwatchuk.org/campaigns

I have just upgraded from 2.0.4 to 2.0.5. Prior to this, all was OK

Thanks, Paul

It is most likely an incorrect ACL settings. If you want us to check this issue for you, please do consider purchasing a subscription and start a new ticket on our site.
