There is no way to turn this off currently. You need to modify the theme files to remove this in /components/com_easyblog/themes/default/author.info.php

Yes - an old thread, but exactly what I was looking for an answer to.

I am also interested in this and it's now about 7 months later. Is this possible now in the more recent version? If not, is the file location still valid?

I want to get rid of that text in the CB profile are for our members.

That is not the setting I was asking about. I have that turned off. It still says "Name has not set his/her bio..." at the top of the profile area in CB.

I have turned the biography module off completely, turned that setting off that you pointed to and still, it shows.
