How to deactivate the "Events" on start page

On my current page I deactivated the event and groups function, but the "events" part is still visible on the start page on the left "module" part where e.g. also the apps, feeds, pages etc. are visible. Where do I have to deactivate this part - because this will currently always be empty....

Looks like this is a bug in 1.4.x. I have applied some fixes for you and it should no longer show up on the sidebar dashboard.

Hello Horst,

It's most likely the module, you can just turn off the module and you are good to go

Sorry Mark,

I meant the "Event" widget on the dashboard if a user has logged in. Sorry for my bad explanation....
