Hi,

How can I control what widgets are displayed in Dashboard view? (What file to edit)

I want to:
1. Remove Filters ... "Show more filters" section
2. Groups: Show most recent 3 groups + "Show all groups" page link
3. Events: Show most recent 3 events + "Show all events" page link
4. Remove Application section.
5. Remove Recent Albums section (I would like Recent Photos instead, but guess this is impossible?)

Hope you can help in pointing me to the correct files for editing, or settings in backend.
Hey Torgrim,

Can you download the attached file and upload it into the following locations respectively:

default.php -> /modules/mod_easysocial_easyblog_posts/tmpl/
mod_easysocial_easyblog_posts.php -> /modules/mod_easysocial_easyblog_posts/

I'm not at a PC to point out directories, but all these requests will require direct modification to the code of your current template.

Hello Torgrim.

1) You can disable the filter in EasySocial > Themes > [Choose default theme] > Dashboard tab and disable this option. http://screencast.com/t/bbItYv0p

2) and 3) Can limit the events and group display in EasySocial > Themes > [Choose default theme] > Dashboard tab and set these option as limited, then set the number of group you want to display. http://screencast.com/t/spd1DNQgQ8MN

4) To remove the application on dashboard, you need to disable this option in EasySocial > Themes > [Choose default theme] > Dashboard tab. http://screencast.com/t/fSyXKXASM2

5) You can remove the recent album by unpublish the Recent Albums in Extension > Module Manager then search for Recent Albums. http://screencast.com/t/RtTSnyjT

Great, thank you so much for this!

Now I only need to figure out how to get a "Write new blog" button in the My profile page. I have Blog under Apps in My Profile page, but when clicking this you only get list of users blogs, and no button to post new blog. And how do I get a "Post new blog" in the EasyBlog (Blogger) section of my site? As it is now there is no way for logged in users to post a new blog...

I tried to publish the "Recent Blog Posts (EasyBlog)" in Dashboard (and Users), but then I got this error message:
Warning: require_once(/home/.../components/com_easyblog/helpers/helper.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/.../modules/mod_easysocial_easyblog_posts/mod_easysocial_easyblog_posts.php on line 37

Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required '/home/.../components/com_easyblog/helpers/helper.php' (include_path='.:/opt/alt/php54/usr/share/pear:/opt/alt/php54/usr/share/php') in /home/.../modules/mod_easysocial_easyblog_posts/mod_easysocial_easyblog_posts.php on line 37

Hope you can help with this last problem. Have a nice weekend!

Hello Torgrim,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply as it weekends for all of us here.

Can you provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can check on the issue directly?

Please advise.

Thank you for your answer Ezrul.
I got an answer related to other problem from you, that the "Post new blog" button will be coming in an update soon. I can wait for this.

Regarding the problem with publishing the module "Recent Blog Posts (EasyBlog)" in Dashboard view/sidebar, I hope you would help though, as I would like Dashboard view to inlcude recent groups, events and blogs in the sidebar.

I have included FTP and admin login for my site below.

Hello Torgrim.

I am really sorry because it seems like the recent blogpost module for easysocial is not compatible yet with easyblog 5. I will forward this issue to our developers and hopefully they will come up with newer version that support easyblog 5 soon.
