I am trying to setup a single page to allow users to subscribe to one or many of the several easyblog categories I have setup. I want to be able to setup the category list on this page to "hide" a category that a joomla user group does not have access to.

I have changed the settings on the Admin>Categories>Permissions to exclude the group I am trying to hide the blog from, but the category still shows on the "All Categories" view. Thus still allowing them to subscribe.

The ACL correctly prevents the user from directly accessing the blog from the front end, but if the user subscribes to the blog, they are still receiving notifications.

Here is the page I want to allow users to subscribe to one or many categories from: http://upgrade.cbwdoghouse.com/subscriptions

Is there any way to not allow subscriptions, or not send notifications based on the "Assigned Permissions" on the easyblog category?
Hey Steve,

I am sorry for the delay of this reply,

I've tried to login in your Joomla backend, but it seems like you provided that user account do not have permission to access your backend, this is what I hitting now :
Warning
You do not have access to the Administrator section of this site.

Because I would like to check your current category permission configuration setting and the menu structure.

Unfortunately that was not possible in current system, I will see if we can implement this restriction in the next release version.

Ah sorry Arlex! I've corrected the permissions and you should be ok to login now.
Please let me know if you're able to implement this feature!

Hey Steve,

Thanks for correcting the login credentials! I would love to help you out here on configuring your categories permission but I need to know which category would you like to reconfigure and which user group is allowed to view which category?
