How to change the default date format?

The default date format is like "4th Apr, 2016" which is British English usage. How can I change it to American English usage, i.e. "Apr 4th , 2016"?

I want to change date registered as member on the profile header and event date. Please see the attached screenshot.

Hey Tony,

This can be configured in the joined date custom field. Go to the profile type and click on the custom fields tab. Then, click on the joined date field and you will see the settings here, http://screencast.com/t/OgrwNkXvFCp6
