We are using the menu item type (Posts) Frontpage at the following URL:

https://ippl.info/library-news

I am trying to figure out how to change the text "This is some blog description about this site". Also, is it possible to get get the category description to display on this page?

I then created a menu item type (Categories) Single Category at the following URL:

https://ippl.info/library-news-2

This displays the category title and description, but since we would like to use the Frontpage menu item because we want the category name to display above the toolbar.

Also, in the (Categories) Single Category menu item, on the Category tab there are options for show category title and show category description, and "Inherit from default settings". Can you tell me where in the EasyBlog configuration I can change these?

Thank you.
Hey there,

You can change it at 'Blog Description' which is at Backend > EasyBlog > Settings > General > General.

For the second question, it is impossible to do that at this point of time currently.

This displays the category title and description, but since we would like to use the Frontpage menu item because we want the category name to display above the toolbar.

For Header is possible only, you can set it at 'Page Heading' in the settings of (Categories) Single Category menu as shown in the screenshot.

This means that when you access (Categories) Single Category menu's page, the value that you set at 'Page Heading' will display above the toolbar.

Also, in the (Categories) Single Category menu item, on the Category tab there are options for show category title and show category description, and "Inherit from default settings". Can you tell me where in the EasyBlog configuration I can change these?

You can find it in the Single Category's setting in Views's setting as shown in the second screenshot.

Can you have a try and see how it goes?

Thank you for the detailed response. I have set this up so that we have two front page menu items for each of our two blog categories - Library News and Current Picks. The problem is that all of the links use the library-news menu alias, so posts in the Current Picks section show up as:

https://ippl.info/library-news/the-book-that-matters-most-by-ann-hood-2016

With "Library News" as the category title.

Is there any way to assign a category to a menu ID?

Hey there,

I am really sorry for the delay of this reply as it is a weekend for us here.

Is it possible for you to provide us with your site backend access so we can better understand your current menu structure?

By the way, I assume you created 2 "Easyblog - frontpage layout" menu item right?

If that is the case, I would suggest you that create 2 "Easyblog - single category layout" menu item for these 2 blog categories Library News and Current Picks , so the post URL format will respect to use this single category menu item id.
