Hello Tom,

Sorry for the late reply. The codes are in the file

JOOMLA/components/com_easyblog/themes/default/css/styles.css

under the Menu section at line 43 to 61. Please copy these codes and place them in your vintage CSS file. Then modify them to your wish. Hope this helps.

Thanks!

Hi Tom

I'm so sorry for this delayed respond.

For your issue to style the toolbar styling, you have to refer the \components\com_easyblog\themes\default\css\styles.css and lookup for the #ezblog-menu .blog-navi and all the styling for the toolbar is there.

For customization best practice, it would be better if you don't overwrite your default\css\styles.css as this CSS file will always get updated whenever you update our component and your changes will be lost. It would be better if you place the changes in your own Joomla template's CSS file.

Hope this will help, please let us know if you need further assistance, thank you.

Thanks both of you Adelene and Arlex But if I should not use the \components\com_easyblog\themes\default\css\styles.css but use joomla template's CSS file as I guess is my own theme for using one the site right? Were and how do I do that, do I then have to ask the people who made the theme?

I ask this because as I do understand, if i change the css style here \components\com_easyblog\themes\default\css\styles.css it will be overriding when I update the easyblog extension right? Just want to make sure I fully understand

Hello Tom,

Yes, if you success to customize your toolbar color from \components\com_easyblog\themes\default\css\styles.css, so you copy that CSS code to your template's CSS file for prevent when you update the Easyblog component, that CSS hack will not be overridden, mean your CSS hack still exist in your template's CSS file. Hope this help.

I do get it I think After edit that file I also need to put that line into my joomla css file correct? But if that is correct I have no idea were to put that code in my main joomla css file.. I guess I have to figured that out first. Or just save that css file to my computer and when there is an update to easyblog I can just upload that css file and override the new update one will that not work? If it works that way it would be easier for me.

Hello Tom,

Hmm just copy your CSS code put at the bottom area in your Joomla css file, see my screenshot > http://screencast.com/t/pkQ1SNeV
Yes, actually that was a good idea, but i'm not sure the css/styles.css file is it no any changes in the future, if our designer got make some changes in css/styles.css file in the future version, then your overridden this css file in the easyblog, maybe it will be clash some CSS styling.
