how to allow user to login?

hi,

I was just starting to install/test/use easydiscuss:
I understand:
User register for an account,
The admin get an email to confirm the account.
user get the confirmation and try to log in:
Get this answer:
Sign in to your account!
then this warning is displayed:
Warning
You can't access the private section of this site.
Does the admin need to do anything else???
or do I have to add a new Users Groups?

Hi Klaus,

This is probably because the user is under Joomla's 'Public' usergroup(http://take.ms/sAE2u).

I checked your Joomla user options(http://take.ms/5ldY4) and here is what I see(http://take.ms/UMP4q).

Based on what you configured, Joomla is treating the 'Public' user group as non-logged in users.

So when you set the 'Public' usergroup as the default new registration group, there's now a conflict here as Joomla will think these users are non-logged in users, hence the warning message.

My suggestion is to use back the default setting when you first installed Joomla('Guest' as guest user group, 'Registered' as new registration group) to avoid confusion.
