Hello -)

I every times after upgrading make changes at more.min.css file -)
How I can save it and don't loose after upgrading? -)
rc1 - rc2 and themes rewriting... rc2-rc3 too rc3 - rc4 and themes rewriting again! -)) and I loose my colorscheme
Hello Anastasia,

I am sorry for this delayed respond.

In our support, we always urge our customers to place the hack code in their own Joomla template CSS file instead of customizing our component's CSS file. As we provided future update on our component, the hack will still be there.

Hope this will help. Please advice, thank you.

Hi Anastacia,

As mentioned by Ikram it's best to save your adjusted css file in your template folder.
For easysocial hacks you can store them here:

templates/YOURTEMPLATE/html/com_easysocial/styles/style1.css

This file won;t be overwritten when there is an updated version from Easysocial.

Can I please ask a question that might sound silly?

The url that Danny suggested read: 'templates/YOURTEMPLATE/html/com_easysocial/styles/style1.css'

Obviously, everything after 'YOURTEMPLATE' was not there when you installed the template as they have nothing to do with Stackideas, so I presume that it was added!

Am I right?

Hi David,

The HTML folder was already there when I installed my template.
It's basically a folder where you can store your overrides.
I for example also have a folder for easydiscuss where I have my easydiscuss overrides, but yes, I added that folder.

templates/YOURTEMPLATE/html/com_easydiscuss/

Depending on what you have installed for other components and modules you can see folders already for these items as well.

How to keep the site logo, which is visible in the notification letter?

this file - /components/com_easysocial/themes/wireframe/images/emails/logo.png

If you want to adjust the logo that you see in the e-mails, you can also overwrite this.
Put your logo in the below folder.

public_html/templates/YOUR TEMPLATE/html/com_easysocial/emails/logo.png

Hello Anastasia,

Did you follow the guide that Danny provided earlier? It shouldn't get replaced if you followed his guide

Hi Mark,

Correct me if I'm wrong, but with the new upgrade to version 1.2 the css files have also changed a lot.
Big part of the css was in the file called style1.css --> public_html/components/com_easysocial/themes/wireframe/styles/style1.css
This is not the case anymore with the upgrade to 1.2.

Therefore the code doesn't get overwritten properly anymore.

@ Anastacia: you now need to check which new css file is now responsible for the coding of the toolbar. (If haven't taken a look at this yet)

Regards,
Danny

Hello,

Hm, sorry but I am a little lost here. Is this about css or the email logo If it is related to the css, yes as Danny mentioned, there are some structural changes in the css file naming. You need to check the wireframe theme. Oh, we are also on Twitter Bootstrap 3 now, so if you rely on classes like span1,span2 etc, this might need to be altered.

Okay, follow this simple rule (This is NOT mandatory, it's just a practice that we follow)

1. If you are only CORRECTING or MAKING SMALL AMMENDMENTS , then apply your css codes into your JOOMLA Template's css file. (Nothing to be done on EasySocial)

2. If you want to make major changes on css changes within EasySocial, then follow the guide here, http://docs.stackideas.com/administrators/templating/template_overrides
