When I use simple smiley : ) it display like a "angel" Emoji.

But when I use simple smiley : ( it display like "sad" Image (not sad Emoji).

Can you record a video so we can see how the process is like?

When you type the smiley, a list of available emoji should appear which your users can choose to use.

Thanks for the video. After checking out the codes, the behavior works like this. If you do not choose an emoji from the list, the system will auto convert the : ) to image.

This is true for those in this file: JoomlaFolder/administrator/components/com_easysocial/includes/bbcode/adapters/decoda/library/config/emoticons.json

If you do not want to render the image, you can either:
1. Remove the contents from the emoticons.json file. So that : ) will stay as it is and not convert.
2. Template override the emoticons image using your own images.

...the system will auto convert the : ) to image.

For auto-conversion, this is not possible. Meaning users have to use the emoji suggestion list to choose the emoji.
