How does the the custom field 'preferred currency' work?

Greetings support,

How does the the custom field 'preferred currency' work? THis ideally should be a drop down of a choice of currencies. But it looks like a conversion rate (converting from what to what? Does make sens!

Please explain, thansk!
From what I check, this "currency" custom field was added since Easysocial 1.0 version.

Currently, we can't recall what is the main purpose we added this custom field last time, but probably related to the customization request last time.

I think you can ignore this custom field now since this custom field only appears during the registration and edit profile page only.
