I have set all the avatar related options to no. No avatar is being displayed in the forums or posts. But the "edit profile" has an avatar tab.

It seems that on my end it is not showing as you can see here http://take.ms/44uCT. Maybe you can try to clear your site and browser cache and see how it goes

Hi, It shows up for some of the users. Seems to depend on the method of registration: social / joomla. Anyways, I just removed the tab from user/edit.php since I am not planning to use avatars. Thanks for the help!
