Hi there,

We are using the latest paid pro version 5.0.20 of easyblog however I cannot find where we can remove the 'Powered by EasyBlog for Joomla!' link.

I have entered the API under settings.

How do I remove this link??

Thanks,

Gem
Hey Gemma,

I am sorry that delay of this reply,

By right when you purchased the PRO version, it shouldn't show the backlink, can you provide us with your Joomla backend and FTP access so we can help you remove it?

Hi Alex,

I have recently purchased the paid version. I need to remove the branding too. How can I do it myself? I am testing it internally at the moment.

Regards

Hi there,

You need to re-install your easyblog component under professional license in order to remove the link. Perhaps you cant try to re-install the easyblog on your local site and see how it goes?

Hi Ezrul,

I have done so much customisation and imported our old blog posts from Wordpress. Installing EasyBlog again, will it erase all these changes?

Hi there,

All the data inside your database such as blog posts will not get erased once you update your easyblog to latest version. However if you have made a core modification like changing the .php file and .css inside the easyblog component itself, those file will get override during the update. You can perform a backup on your easyblog component before updating and then re-apply back the change after the update.

By the way if you want to make a core modification but do not want the changes to lost during the update, you can place the change using template override as you can see from our documentation here, http://stackideas.com/docs/easyblog/administrators/customizations/template-overridden .

Hi Guys,

I have updated to the newest and the powered by is still there. As I am a paid subscriber, I belive I should be able to remove this text pretty easily. Can you please let me know if there is a code modification or something that I can use to remove this? I have to publish the website ASAP.

regards

Hi Huntingtower,

I am sorry for the confusion here. It seems like your license is under easyblog community plan instead of professional plan. In order for you to remove the backlink you must upgrade your plan to professional first. You can refer to our easyblog pricing plan here for more info regarding on the backlink removal, http://stackideas.com/easyblog/plans .

Hi Ezrul,

I am not sure I saw it. If I upgrade my plan, will I be able to remove the branding without loosing my current settings or posts?

Hi there,

Thank you for the purchased of unlimited version . You can try to re-install your easyblog by using the unlimited license installer from stackideas dashboard here, http://stackideas.com/dashboard and the link should get removed once the installation is complete.

Keep us updated and kindly let us know if there are any issue with the component. We will assist you accordingly.
